Description

The Sos Pump Crab Float Sensor has two sensors on the bottom that detect water. As soon as water is detected from a level of 3 mm, the sensor switches on the pump. When there is no more water, the pump switches off automatically.

With the included magnetic key you can easily set how long the pump stays on after the sensor turns off, or when the pump should start after the sensor is turned on. Do you want the pump to start 30 seconds later or run for 30 seconds longer? Both options are possible.

The float can be easily connected to any device with the supplied contrast plug. This is a double plug that you plug into the socket, after which you plug the pump into the contrast plug.

Are you using the Sos Pump together with the Crab float? Then make sure that the pump is half a centimeter lower than the Crab. This way the pump can build up sufficient pressure in the hose, since the Crab starts at 3 mm and the pump works optimally from 7 mm water level.

How does a float work in a submersible pump?

The float ensures that the pump automatically starts pumping when the water level rises and the same float switch ensures that the pump stops pumping when the water level drops again. This allows you to rely on safe and automatic operation of the pump.

How does a float sensor work?

The sensor works with a float that floats on the surface of the liquid and in which a small permanent magnet is located. If the level rises, the float will start to rotate around its suspension point and at a certain moment close a reed contact that is present in the fixed part of the switch.

How do you adjust a float?

As soon as water is detected at the bottom of the device, the level switch switches the pump on and in the absence of water it switches off automatically. With the supplied magnetic key you can easily adjust the time frame of switching on and off.

How does an electric float work?

Electric floats use electrical signals to measure fluid levels and consist of a floating switch that generates an on or off signal. An electric float always controls a pump or valve.
